Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks and tractor-trailers in and around the Louisville area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, logs, and mileage using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with proper endorsements (Tanker/Hazardous Materials preferred but not always required for entry).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for making change and handling paperwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and punctuality.
