Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly and handling hazardous materials (if required) with care.
- Complete and maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS systems while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company brand positively during customer interactions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical condition of the truck.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing into the cab of a commercial vehicle.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
