Job Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to oversee our delivery operations. You will act as the bridge between our dispatch center and our fleet of CDL drivers, ensuring routes are optimized and customer expectations are exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch CDL Class A and Class B delivery drivers for daily routes in the Nashville metropolitan area.
- Monitor real-time traffic and weather conditions to adjust delivery schedules and ensure on-time arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding cargo handling, safety protocols, and route changes.
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve delivery exceptions efficiently.
- Ensure all CDL drivers maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Process delivery paperwork and maintain accurate digital logs for fleet management.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy for outbound shipments.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B license (knowledge of CDL regulations is mandatory).
- Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation management, or a similar field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software (TMS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high attention to detail.
- Valid driver's abstract or clean driving record required.
