Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork according to DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience: No prior driving experience required for entry-level positions (training provided).
- Background Check: Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and background screening.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid driver's license and social security card.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a DOT physical exam.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
