Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in Tucson and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, including lifting boxes and using pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided).
- Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations to maintain a clean driving record.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and handling delivery documentation.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- No Experience Required: Must be willing to undergo paid training; prior driving experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Medical: Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Eligibility: Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Communication: Basic English reading and verbal communication skills.
