Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are secure.
- Load and unload freight safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route maps to ensure timely customer service.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse staff to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Keep the vehicle interior clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
