Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to customers in Maryland and Virginia.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and daily mileage records.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR check) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to learn and undergo company-sponsored training.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and reading scales.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in various weather conditions.
