Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A/B) safely and efficiently in urban and rural environments.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling paperwork and interactions professionally.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and reporting.
