Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (26,000+ GVW) to deliver freight on time
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems and real-time traffic updates
- Inspect vehicles before/after shifts to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation via electronic systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of North Carolina roadways and DOT regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
