Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) on assigned routes, including long-haul trips to Virginia.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic logging devices (ELD), and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including proper documentation and handling of special handling instructions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, including Virginia, as required.
