Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including Box Trucks, Sprinters, and Semi-Trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time arrivals and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including delivery receipts and incident reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and addressing delivery concerns.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Familiarity with the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia area is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Must have a valid DOT medical card.
