Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive and operate CDL-equipped delivery trucks to designated drop-off points.
- Load & Unload Freight: Secure cargo using straps and chains, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety compliance.
- Route Management: Follow assigned delivery routes efficiently, adhering to time schedules and traffic regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and daily logs (DVIR).
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure freight arrives in pristine condition.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Current Class A or Class B CDL with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat preferred but not always required).
- Clean Driving Record: No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI/DWI history.
- Experience: Proven track record in commercial driving or logistics.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and Social Security Card.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use mobile technology for navigation and logging.
