As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight to our valued customers across the region.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand jacks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
