Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks per DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules
- Document delivery status and handle paperwork accurately (BOLs, manifests)
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience OR CDL school graduate
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and logbook procedures
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Customer service-oriented communication style
