Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles to deliver freight to local and regional destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily delivery logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to delivery schedules and communicating effectively with dispatch.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (with appropriate endorsements).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Baltimore, MD roadways and geography.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
