Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight across the regional route network.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations using proper tie-downs.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (EOBR) and comply strictly with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience (OTR) or local route experience.
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and cargo securement procedures.
