Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local routes in and around Chicago, IL.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing straps.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required (CDL B considered for specific routes).
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical card on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
