Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and maintain a clean driving record (MVR).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and participate in monthly safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic laws.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional weekends if necessary.
