Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and stay within legal driving hours (DOT Hours of Service).
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring securement and protection of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company procedures.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on route type).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and acceptable background check.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
