Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks per DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication.
