As a vital link in the supply chain, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the Southwest. We are looking for drivers who are committed to excellence and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify mechanical issues.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance specifications.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and cleanliness for the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not driving, including inventory checks and documentation processing.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR or regional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement methods and DOT regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required by route demands.
