Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over various terrains within the Pacific Northwest region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and cargo status.
- Ensure the cargo compartment remains clean and free of debris during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation in the Pacific Northwest.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
