Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently over various routes in and around the Seattle metro area.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Complete all necessary pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any vehicle defects.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and confirm appointments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a clean safety record.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum 12 months of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
