Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo properly using appropriate tie-downs to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers, ensuring timely delivery and professional conduct.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding status updates, delays, and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of California.
- Current Medical Card (DOT Medical Certificate).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and maneuver cargo.
