Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner on various routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and safety protocols are met.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT 3070) and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of geographic area (San Diego) and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
