Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over various routes within Georgia and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of safety and operational efficiency at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings to stay updated on industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A. (If you have a Class B or permit, we may offer sponsorship).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
- Basic math skills for weighing cargo and calculating distances.
- Valid Commercial Driver's Manual (CDL Handbook).
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
