Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to transport goods safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure fastening and proper weight distribution.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) issued by the state of Ohio.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Must have a clean driving record with no serious traffic violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training program for new drivers.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently for long periods.
