Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A tractor-trailer on designated routes between Philadelphia, PA, and Virginia.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations and hours-of-service rules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any logistical changes.
- Represent the company professionally while driving and during customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Must be willing and able to work Night Shift hours (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork entry.
