Job Summary
We are looking for Class A Drivers who are committed to safety and reliability. You will be responsible for transporting freight across the Midwest and beyond, ensuring that our customers receive their goods on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, adhering to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and comply with all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Navigate Chicago and regional routes efficiently, utilizing company-provided GPS and mapping tools.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations in the last 5 years.
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and weekends as needed.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
