Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight safely and efficiently across the New York region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate delivery routes in various weather conditions and traffic patterns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as needed.
