Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on various routes throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, and cargo status.
- Manage fuel logs and manage vehicle maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical on file.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
