Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, timely, and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure cargo safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
