Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes and schedules.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to ensure safety.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs, delivery receipts, and mileage reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no recent DUI or reckless driving violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and bending.
