Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport cargo safely and efficiently across the Long Beach area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and load handling procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
