Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks on assigned routes within the Indianapolis region and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, cargo weight, and miles driven.
- Secure cargo properly and load/unload freight using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (CDL training provided for qualified candidates).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record and a valid Medical Card.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic math skills for weight and balance calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
