Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently over long-distance routes, including stops in North Carolina and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Uphold the company’s reputation for reliability and professional driving standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- 2+ years of verifiable driving experience (preferred but not required for top candidates).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure long hours of sitting.
