Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on highways and local delivery routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as needed.
- Reliable personal transportation for commuting to work.
- Must pass a background check and driving record review.
