Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and comply with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle and cargo area clean and organized.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
