Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer units safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and traffic conditions.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected against damage during transit.
- Uphold company standards for professional appearance and customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and acceptable background check.
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical agility test.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
