Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout Texas and neighboring states.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS) rules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
