Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in adherence to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging devices (ELD) records.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding status updates and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and organized truck cab.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A is required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred for performing minor troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to undergo paid training for entry-level drivers.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US work authorization.
