Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, verifying quantities and ensuring proper securing to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a perfect safety record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A issued by the State of North Carolina.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
