Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring the safety of the freight and the public.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet customer deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
