Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload freight safely, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily logs for audit compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
