Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Deliver freight on time and to the correct location, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills for reading bills of lading and making change if required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
