Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and within schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing the Apex Logistics brand professionally.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service (HOS) rules.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks in various weather conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
