Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently over designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all weight distribution requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate logs and digital driver's vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cargo securely.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and long hours as needed.
