Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver and pick up freight throughout the Wichita area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo using proper techniques to prevent damage and ensure cargo security.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Report any mechanical issues, road hazards, or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and valid DOT drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and criminal history verification.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) rules and regulations.
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting, pulling, and pushing items up to 50 lbs.
