Job Summary:
The Route Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to various commercial and residential locations. You will represent the KanDrive brand with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to deliver freight to designated stops on time and in good condition.
- Conduct a pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection, documenting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Verify cargo load and ensure proper documentation (bills of lading) is completed accurately.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at delivery points.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Ability to read maps, GPS systems, and delivery schedules.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings or late evenings.
