Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated customer locations in and around Buffalo, NY.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, manifests, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve issues and ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways in Western New York.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal daily.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
